Parliament is a fantastic educational resource where students can learn all about British politics.

It was a pleasure to visit Coalway Junior School today. I was shown round the school by representatives of the school council and answered questions from students.

This morning I had the pleasure of visiting Severnbanks Primary School in Lydney. I was given an excellent tour of the school by the Head Boy and Head Girl, who provided me with an insight into their studies as well as their important roles on the student council.

This morning I enjoyed a visit to Hartpury Church of England Primary School. Class 2, 5-7 year olds, are currently learning about London, the Houses of Parliament and Her Majesty The Queen.

Last week, I had the pleasure of welcoming students from Hartpury College to Parliament. The group of 32 Year 12 students visited the House of Commons and House of Lords as part of their Uniformed Public Services course. The students listened to a talk about how legislation is made.

Yesterday, I was delighted to welcome to Parliament a group of Year 6 pupils from St White's Primary School in Cinderford. A group of 20 students were on a school visit to London, and they were able to take advantage of the Parliamentary Education Service's fantastic school programme.
