This morning I had the pleasure of visiting Severnbanks Primary School in Lydney.
I was given an excellent tour of the school by the Head Boy and Head Girl, who provided me with an insight into their studies as well as their important roles on the student council. It was clear to see from my tour that all the students were very enthusiastic about their learning and the upcoming festive season.
At the end of my visit, I had a question and answer session with students from Year 6. We covered many topics ranging from the current war in Ukraine, my role as Member of Parliament for the Forest of Dean and how our Government works. It was a pleasure to speak with such knowledgeable and well-informed students who are a true credit to their school.
I would like to thank all of the staff and students at Severnbanks for their kind invitation and very warm welcome.
