Parliament is a fantastic educational resource where students can learn all about British politics. The Parliamentary Education Centre, opened in July 2015, runs a year-round programme of school visits for students aged 5 to 18, providing a fantastic opportunity for young people to engage with Parliament and democracy.
Recently, I was delighted to speak with two groups of Pupils from the Forest of Dean who came for a visit, from both Hartpury Primary School and Staunton and Corse Primary School. I had a Q&A session with the students where we covered topics ranging from net zero, my role as a Member of Parliament and how our democracy works.
I would like to thank all of the excellent staff of the Education Centre, who always put on an engaging and enjoyable experience. If you work for a school here in the Forest of Dean and would be interested in visiting Parliament, I would encourage you to visit the link below for further information.
