I recently visited the The Wesley - Forest of Dean Community and Arts Centre in Cinderford, to see the progress being made with the regeneration of the building.
The installation of the new roof has been completed and the replacement stage flooring has now been laid. Construction students from Gloucestershire College (Cinderford Campus) have been learning varied elements of construction and with a shortage of skilled labour in the traditional/historical areas, Cinderford Town Council have been delighted to be able to provide a "live" platform for these skills to be taught and practised.
Cinderford Town Council was awarded £880,000 from the Forest of Dean's Levelling Up Fund grant, secured in 2021. This is being put to fantastic use, across three buildings in Cinderford; Rheola House, 6 Market Street and The Wesley.
