Earlier today, I had the pleasure of visiting Forest Mobile Meals, who run a brilliant food delivery service from Foxes Bridge Road in Cinderford.
Forest Mobile Meals is a registered charity that took over from the previous Age Concern “Meals on Wheels” service. This local charity provides hot, freshly cooked meals from their impressive kitchen facilities to many elderly and vulnerable residents across the Forest of Dean. They offer a wide range of cooked food from Monday to Friday, delivered to the premises, and unpacked and plated up.
These meals have been delivered through the lockdown by their dedicated team of volunteer drivers.
The team also provide a valuable service by taking some time to talk to the residents they serve and checking on their welfare. If you or anyone you know would benefit from this service, then I would urge you to contact Forest Mobile Meals on 01594 827927.
They also run a reasonably priced takeaway service, something I took advantage of for my lunch today, and which is well worth trying!
