Last Friday, I visited The Wesley in Cinderford, to take a closer look at recent improvements and discuss Cinderford Town Council’s future plans for the site.
Cinderford Town Council form part of the Forest of Dean’s successful £20 million Levelling Up Fund project and they have been working hard to transform the buildings that they were able to purchase, using this government funding.
Solar Panel installation has begun on the roof of The Wesley, along with roof repairs, following delays due to adverse weather over recent weeks.
All three of the Forest of Dean Levelling Up Fund projects are continuing to move with pace. Visible improvements can be seen at Five Acres, with demolition now complete and the site ready for development and at Hartpury University, the EV Park is now fully functional with 32 Electric Vehicle Charging Points available for use.
I am pictured with projects leads from Cinderford Town Council and members of the Central Group, who were able to give me a bird's eye view of recent progress.
I look forward to seeing how our local Levelling Up Fund projects continue to advance as all three of the partners involved work hard to make the best use of this investment in the Forest of Dean.
