On Saturday afternoon, I paid a visit to the annual Tibberton Show at Taynton and Tibberton Village Hall.
The weather was kind, after a rain shower in the morning, and the turnout was impressive. I enjoyed the opportunity to talk to many constituents as I made my way around the show, including Jamie of Coldcroft Shires.
The Show had many traditional games and I tried my hand at skittles, golf and the coconut shy. I also managed to catch the ‘one man and his dog’ display that took place ahead of the Fun Dog Show.
The marquee displayed competitors' entries into a number of different categories. The categories included vegetable growing, flower arranging, needle work and fine art, to mention a few. A special mention goes to Mike Davies, for the Best in Show award for his tomatoes, and his wife June Davies, for her 1st prize roses.
Thank you to all of the organisers for arranging the event, including Chairman Nick Horniman, who I am pictured with here. It is very clear how much effort is required to produce such a brilliant event.
