I am pleased to share the news that the Music Works has secured £923,413 of funding from the Youth Investment Fund, for their new Cinderford Hub. That’s significant investment from central government for young people in the Cinderford area.
The Youth Investment Fund was launched in August 2022, with a call for youth services in the country’s most underserved areas to apply for part of the fund worth over £300 million, to improve the health, wellbeing, skills and opportunities for young people.
Together with Cinderford Town Council, and their share of the Forest of Dean’s £20 million Levelling up Fund, the Music Works are preparing to move into Market Street in Cinderford.
I visited the site today and met with Deborah Potts, CEO of the Music Works, and Emma Bennett and Les Love from Cinderford Town Council. A great deal of progress has been made since my last visit and I look forward to seeing the completed site in a few months time.
The Music Works are still looking for support to reach their final funding target and provide this state of the art facility for the Forest of Dean. For more information about the new hub, please visit:
