This morning, I was pleased to attend the Quarterly Programme Board Meeting for the Forest of Dean Levelling Up Fund at The Growth Hub in Mitcheldean.
I joined representatives from the Forest of Dean District Council, Cinderford Town Council and Hartpury University and Hartpury College to discuss how the individual projects are progressing.
Visible progress continues to be made across all three projects, with the £20 million of government funding transforming derelict spaces into entrepreneurial hubs, creating new educational spaces and refurbishing leisure facilities.
At 11am, we paused for a minute’s silence to reflect on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the lives affected over the last 12 months.
