After last week’s votes in the House of Commons, I thought my constituents would like to know how I voted and why.

Keeping Gloucestershire safe

I recently had the opportunity to do both a ride along with local police and visit Gloucestershire Constabulary’s Force Control Room to see some of the vital behind the scenes work. Both visits gave me a valuable insight into what happens when one of my constituents calls the police.

Further Education Funding

The EU referendum result was a vote for change, and it is for politicians to listen and act accordingly. Some of the research has shown that many Leave voters felt that globalisation had not delivered good opportunities for them and they wanted to see change.

Hartpury College Visit to Parliament

Last week, I had the pleasure of welcoming students from Hartpury College to Parliament. The group of 32 Year 12 students visited the House of Commons and House of Lords as part of their Uniformed Public Services course.
