Conference call with the Chancellor

Earlier this week, I spoke with the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, on a conference call. On the call, I raised the need for as much flexibility as possible to allow the hospitality sector to operate their current businesses, be it a pub, restaurant or similar business, in an outdoor setting.

Reopening Schools

We are about to see the phased reopening of schools to more pupils on top of those currently attending.    

Grant money for the Forest of Dean

Thanks to the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, and the Communities Secretary, Robert Jenrick, the Forest of Dean District Council has received more than £24 million from central Government to help businesses across the Forest of Dean during these difficult times.

Self-Employment Support

My office and I have received a number of enquiries from constituents across the Forest of Dean about support for self-employed people. That’s why I am pleased that the Government’s Self-Employment Income Support Scheme service is now open to applicants.
