Hillside Brewery, South West region award winners

Last week, I was delighted to attend the annual Countryside Alliance Rural Oscar Awards in Parliament. The awards are in their 12th year and celebrate rural produce, skills, enterprise and heritage, championing small businesses and their contribution to the rural economy.

Agri Skills Day at Hartpury College

Two weeks ago, I was pleased to attend the excellent Agri Skills Day hosted by Hartpury College. The Agri Skills day was aimed at showing KS3 pupils (11-14 year olds) how much science and technology is involved within farming.

Dene Magna Secondary School

I enjoyed visiting Dene Magna School in Mitcheldean last week for the opening of their brand new Maths block.

Supporting disabled people

One of my roles in Parliament is acting as the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Learning Disability. In this role, I work closely with Mencap, the leading voice on learning disability, to support people with a learning disability, their families and their carers.
