It was a pleasure to spend the day celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee across the Forest of Dean.
In the morning I was in Newent, outside the Library, for the reading of the Jubilee proclamation. The proclamation was read by Reverend Simon Mason and contained poignant words to mark this historic occasion. At 1pm I was in Coleford for the reading of the Jubilee proclamation outside the Forest of Dean District Council office. This was read by the Chairman of the Council, Cllr Julia Gooch.
I finished the day in Cinderford for the town’s celebration of culture & community.
It was a pleasure to be part of these celebrations and to see such large numbers of people enjoying the festivities. For seventy years, Her Majesty The Queen has devoted herself to public service and she is an inspiration to all that are in public life.
God Save The Queen
