It was a pleasure to attend the Family Fun Day at Bathurst Park in Lydney on Saturday.
It was nice spending time talking to the different charities, youth groups and volunteers that had set up stalls around the park. The weather was overcast but remained largely dry - a welcome relief to all those who had worked so hard to put it on. All in all, a very enjoyable day.
I am pictured here with County Councillor Alan Preest and the Lydney Branch of the Royal British Legion. The Royal British Legion do great work across the constituency helping ex-service personnel and their families with a range of support. If you are ever in need, you can contact them via their website. I have copied the link below.
I am also pictured at the TIC+ (Teens in Crisis) stall with their staff and volunteers - they were the chosen charity for the day, receiving the profits from the 5km run. TIC+ are a fantastic charity that provide help and counselling to young people struggling with their mental health. I have copied the link to their website below.
It was great to see the community out in force, enjoying the live music and raising money for good causes.
