This week, I was delighted to speak with a group of pupils from Bream Church of England Primary School, who recently visited Parliament.
The pupils were first shown around Parliament, including the House of Commons and the House of Lords, before taking part in the fantastic workshops delivered by the team at the Parliamentary Education Centre.
I dropped in for a Question and Answer session with the children, where I briefly explained my role as an MP and as Secretary of State for Transport, before opening up the floor to questions. All the questions were very engaging and ranged from topics such as the work the Government is doing to tackle smoking, local road safety and banning XL Bullies.
I would like to thank all of the excellent staff of the Education Centre for putting on an engaging and enjoyable experience. If you work for a school here in the Forest of Dean and would be interested in visiting Parliament, I would encourage you to visit the link below for further information.
